Some mornings I wake up from this dream about a friend I haven't seen in 20-odd years, and my chest feels hollowed out with longing for him, for that connection. It feels deliciously right and disappointingly sad at the same time. It's a mystery.

Best in Show
At least that's what I voted. I loved this. It's huge, like 4 feet wide, and the materials are listed as something like "bits of wood and junk from my garage." Maybe it's not Joseph Cornell, but it's fun. And it's unique.
I absolutely love this. I think finishing something like this must be the most satisfying feeling... And it reminds me a bit of Louise Nevelson without its being covered in black paint.
It's really more beautiful than the meat-grinder monkeys.
