ARTFEST!!!!

Yes, I recently attended my first Artfest, a glorious art retreat in lovely Port Townsend, WA.  Actually, what's even better is that it's not in town, but on an old fort, so it's a real community, for 3 1/2 days.  I loved it so much, firstly because I got to meet my buddies from an online group I've been in for at least 5 years doing trades and exchanging ideas and support, and got to stay in the same dorm they all gather in, which made it like a big slumber party every night.  I was the last to go to bed, always about midnight.  Which is 2am in Minnesota time.  But I couldn't resist.  I had such a fab time with them.

The second great thing was, of course, the art! I loved all 3 of my classes.  Great teachers, fun techniques, and I was happy with all of my work.   So let's look at some pictures, shall we?

My dorm: Camp Runamuckus, as it's called, 225E by number. Right by the water.  Which I never got down to, because there was just so much to do.  Next time I'll have to go down there, I hear it's a nice sandy beach.

Our Artfest hosts: Teesha and Tracy Moore.  They're very sweet, and their family helps run the whole thing, shuttling you and your suitcases around to the different barracks.  The staff includes Grandma, kids, cousins and friends.  When they were introducing themselves, one young man said his name, and that he was a graphic designer, "but my real passion is lifting heavy objects for older women."

Our Camp doggie!!  We were so lucky, we got a doggie in our dorm, because Rita has a new therapy dog.  His name is Zombie.  He's the cutest zombie you'll ever see.
