One World One Heart: blogger giveaway event

Okay, this is a little touchy-feely for me, but I like the energy of this event, so I'm joining it. Click here or on the badge (photo of hands holding a world and a heart) on the sidebar and you can read about it and decide if you want to join. Basically it's a way to find some other crafty bloggers and get more to find your blog. And free stuff, which everyone likes. So I'll be giving away a goodie to at least one lucky blogger who leaves comments on THIS POSTING. Or maybe more than one person, depending on what I get done. I have a baby, you know. So it might come with sticky fingerprints. Just kiddin.' One giveaway will definitely be a fabric bracelet, and if I get more than 100 comments I'll give away a second one. Here's pics of the first bracelet:

It's reversible, like the ones I'm selling in my ETSY shop. You can go look in there to see more and get descriptions. The drawing is on Valentine's Day, which will be a fun thing to do, since I've had tragic Valentine's Days in the past...

This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. Tis way, everyone is a winner.

(ps..just had to say, vis-a-vis the founding sentiment of your blog...I so know what you mean, about the dreams of childhood friends, that longing. I wake up just like that some mornings too, after a visit with a lost pal in a dream. The ache can be extraordinary.)

I just read your post about why you named your blog as you have. I too believe in the credibility and importance of dreams. I have found that dreams like the ones you've had about Jimmy have more to do with you reclaiming yourself as you were at 12 - when you knew him, and not necessarily about finding him. Perhaps finding that part of yourself that is free and happy, that loves to play (drums?), that loves that tension that arises between people who are attracted to eachother. Just a thought.
All the best.
